UGANDA COOPERATIVE ALLIANCE CONTRIBUTES UGX 20,000,000 TOWARDS THE FIGHT AGAINST COVID-19

Following the outbreak of Corona Virus / COVID-19 globally and in Uganda, Uganda Cooperative Alliance Ltd has offered a cash contribution worth 20,000,000 towards the purchase of personal protective equipment for the medical team at the forefront.

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Uganda and also the Chairman of the National task force for COVID-19 the Rt. Hon. Dr. Ruhakana Rugunda received the cheque from UCAs’ General Secretary Mr. Ivan Asiimwe.

The Prime Minister thanked all the well-wishers and the government for the generous collective efforts aimed at supporting government in the fight against the deadly corona Virus. And also thanked the Government through the leadership of His Excellency the president for the success and  progress fight against the Virus. He continued to appreciate the general public for being cooperative in following the guidelines.

The General Secretary in his speech thanked the government for the tremendous work in fighting COVID-19 and assured that cooperative movement is committed in supporting the government in the fight against Corona Virus going by our principle of solidarity.
